Sawyer Farm hosts Mountain Wedding and Disco Reception

Fall in Love with Heather and Scott

Heather and Scott waited a long time to find one another, and enjoyed every minute of their wedding at Sawyer Family Farmstead. Their love and delight in one another was obvious as they pledged their lives to one another in front of family and friends with beautiful Lake Glenville in the background.

In lieu of place cards, guests found their names and seating assignments written on brown paper hearts strung in rows with twine. Heather’s multi-tiered white gown rippled when she moved, and featured crystal beadwork at the waistline and a gauzy white bow in back. Scott’s bright pink bow tie and yellow boutonniere matched his cheery personality, and complemented the soft pink of the bridesmaid’s dresses. Colors were echoed in the flower arrangements, and other wedding party members wore shades of purple and beige.

Scott stole the show with his moon walk and fancy footwork while dancing with Heather to a Michael Jackson tune. After their catered dinner, the Big Red Barn was transformed into a hip disco, and youngsters of all ages danced alongside the happy newlyweds. When it was time to go, everyone lit a sparkler and made a brilliant arch for Heather and Scott to walk through, hand in hand. They left in style, kissing in the backseat of a chauffeured vintage Jaguar.
